Industrial Band Heater
Band heaters are produced from high quality mica or micanite sheet and have Nickel Chrome resistance. They are covered by metal sheathing and can be rolled to the required shape. The use of mica is cost effective, allows the weight of the heater to be kept to a minimum and accelerating heat transfer through the sheath of the heater into the object requiring heat. Band heaters operate efficiently when the sheath temperatures are kept below 250°C. If this temperature is maintained, the life of the band heaters gets long. They are widely used in Injection Moulding, Blow Moulding, Plastic & Rubber Processing Machinery.
